I really don't know what makes us a family. I guess it is are undivided love and affection for each other, but I have heard that what makes up a functional family are the downfalls, but I don't think that every family is perfect. I mean maybe in their own ways but I doubt that they don't have any problems at all. Like every family we fight but every problem has a solution and we grow with ever problem.
What does family mean to me? I guess what family means to me is like an unspoken bond that we all share. It is never broken, it is like having your family in your back pocket. You never forget about them and they are always there for you when you need a hand. i can't say that just my mom, dad, and sister are my family because i treat my friends the same way, so in a way they are my family as well. Sometimes if you ask people "what is your family like?" or " is it big?" they usually say yes and start naming people that live with them but they never stop to think of the other people they care about like there friends. i guess family to me would have to be anyone who cares about you or you care about them.

Earth Day
What is Earth Day? What do they do on earth day? Those where my questions when we were given the topic to write about. Sure I have heard of Earth Day but I have never really looked into it. Is it like a holiday or is it just a day? Do we celebrate it like Presidents Day or like Christmas?
When I looked it up I knew it had something to do with the environment but i had no idea it influenced so many people. Her is a video of some of the people that put on a celebration in Japan for Earth Day.
i got theis movie from http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MyCGbskDbT4

Fuzzy Logic
What is Fuzzy Logic?
Fuzzy logic is a different way a computer thinks. Instead of having the computer just think of 0 and 1 it thinks of all the other things that aren't straight forward. It thinks more outside of the box then what is so simple to figure out. It think kind of like we do and not like a regular computer would.
Based on what you know about binary logic (on/off or 0/1), what is the advantage of using fuzzy logic?
The advantage of using fuzzy logic is that all of your answers and question aren't always so straight forward they think more along the lines of how you do. Another advantage of using fuzzy logic is that it won't go over the same question twice, it has more memory then a computer and can think more with the experience.
- I think that fuzzy logic will help us in the future because it is better then a computer because it think like a human and isn't so straight forward. It thinks of questions that a computer wouldn't think of and doesn't ask the same question because it has more memory. It will help the world understand more and it will have people be able to connect to other thing that we probably haven't even done yet. it says it takes what it gets from experiences and grows on that, so basically the more you us it or the more it is used the more it learns an the more questions it will ask.

Family

What's your idea of what a family can be?
A family,in my mind, would have to be caring and supportive. They are there for you thought everything. They can be you friends or immediate family such as your mom or dad.any one who cares about you and you care about them. Anyone who is willing to listen to your problems and actually care about what you have to say. It can be someone close to you or just someone you go to talk to.
Who is in your family circle?
The people in my family circle are my mom, dad, sister, and all of the people really close to me.
What is your family like?
My family is caring, supportive, and have the time to listen to what I have to say.
Does your family circle involve a variety of people?
Yes, my family involves a lot of people such as my friends.
Different generations?
I guess my family conses of different generations, but i am not quit sure. I guess my mom and dad are different generations because they are 7 years apart and so are my grandparents and so forth.
Explain the following quote:
"Families evolve from a patchwork of possibilities"
I think this quote means that most families go thought lots of things but that is what makes them stronger in the end. All of the problems that they have and all of the things they do together connect in some way or another and make them realize that they can work thought it together.

What I learned about immigration
I found the people that did the project about immigration very interesting because of the reaction that it got from the class. It made other people think of the topic and how many people it affected. I never knew that from what two people say it could effect more then just one person so much. If you really look at what those people said, in my opinion, it really didn't make sense but it does at the same time. I say this because if you watch the news, that is all they talk about and it isn't right, but that is just my opinion. Also the kids that said all of those things on the interview really didn't think about all the people they would hurt and all of the comments that they made would touch someone so much.

What I learned from my project
What I learned from doing my project is that everyone has a different opinions about racism and no two people have the same one. I also learned that asking people about racism is a touchy topic and people feel scetchy about it. It is somewhat a sencitive topic to talk about and it is an issue that most people think is something that we should deal with. Racism affects alot of people and there is alot of issues and topics people don't really talk about and see in there daily lives yet they know about them from the news. I know i learned alot about this topic and i hope other people did too.

multimedia part of my project
My partner Vika and I have the topic of racism. The multimedia part of our project will consist of pictures for websites that talk about racism and other symbols describing people. Over the weekend I tried to get the voices of some people we interviewed on garage band and I looked up some pictures to put up there. me and Vika went around to different people tryng to get different perspectives from different ages and genders. It was interesting to find out what all the different people thought of the topic and there reactions to the questions. Some difficulties that i had was that some of the people didn't totally understand the questions we where asking and we had to explain it in further detail. another problem we had was the trying to figure out how to put the voices on Garage Band and trying to edit them.
Some points of contention for racism may be that people are sensitive about the topic, people don't like talking about it, some people don't like to admit it is out there, and some are racists.
